Mission & History
Parenting is a transformative and sacred life journey. We believe creating a conscious connection is the foundation of a fulfilling and enduring relationship with your child. Our Integrative approach means looking at the whole child – physical, psychological, community and spiritual health, spanning from initial attachment to later childhood. Our intention is to support growth and development of the child by awakening parents to the wisdom they already have. Using mindfulness along with research-based knowledge new to the field of parenting, we illustrate the power of being awake and connected.
Just eight months into parenthood and with daughters only 10 days apart, we met through a mama group in San Diego. Our relationship just made sense, complimentary in every way – from our children’s personalities to our professional love of Integrative wellness. Meanwhile, our girls quickly became inseparable, providing an opportunity to deepen our own friendship. Through our past experiences, combined with new challenges of being a mama – we formed a passion for collaborating to create a resource for education and support of truly holistic conscious parenting. We are excited and honored to be on this journey with you!
Jessica Killebrew, Psy.D.
Jessica received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Integrative Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. She uses a mindfulness-based, integrative, wellness-focused lens. She conducted her practicum at UCSD’s Center for Mindfulness. Her practice is rooted in present moment awareness, which she believes is the foundational to vitality and well-being. Jessica considers all aspects of life as contributing factors to health – from a positive perspective. This framework is used in her role as coach, psychotherapist and parenting guide – professionally and in her own life. She is a compassionate psychotherapist, and mindful mama to a most curious three-year old girl, with a boy on the way. Jessica is fed from the wellspring of many integrative communities where she attends workshops, teaches, and mentors. Interested in private coaching for parents?

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday.
